GOOD EVENING

Your commute, but in space.

The car's GPS sets the pace. Real road, made-up galaxy.

No car GPS on a phone, so you're the throttle. Hold anywhere to go.

Drivers watch the road, not this. It's for passengers and parked cars. Traffic laws still apply in space.

SPACE DRIVE Nº1

How it works

On a phone you're the throttle: hold anywhere to speed up, let go to coast. Phone rides don't count as drives.
Speed comes from the car's GPS. The browser asks for your location once, and it never leaves the car.
Drive stays calm: no flashes, and nothing new happens above about 70 mph. Speeding unlocks a ticket, not a planet.
Show is the full fireworks on simulated speed, for parked cars. Move and it bows out.
Show is the full fireworks. Hold the pink gauge to boost.
Drive runs on the car's real speed and counts toward records. Simulation is made-up speed, up to 500 mph, and never counts.
Eyes on the road, traffic laws on. The driver doesn't watch this while the car moves.

SHOW MODE

ARE YOU PARKED?

Show is the full spectacle on simulated speed, for when the car is stopped. Without the car's GPS it can't tell if you pull away, so it won't switch itself off.
